I need help with my iPod please help!

Ok so one day I accidently droppedy iPod in the sink and water had gotten in it but it was still working fine. To just be in the safe side I turned it off and placed it in a bag of rice to let it dry. I left it in the bag for about 2 days and when I took it out and turned it on my iPod work perfectly but after a while it would start to go to sleep mode randomly without me pressing the button. Also my iPod won't work with music, you can only hear the background music but no vocals so it sounds dumb. Please help me with this problem if you guys know what to do.

The vocals problem sounds like a bad headphone jack (this is the effect you'll get if you don't insert the headphones all the way into the jack).

The sleep mode button sounds like a broken power button -- iFixit has some instructions on replacing it. If you want to try an experiment, you could try opening the iPod up and unplugging the power button flexcable. Then, plug the USB cable into the connector on the iPod and into your computer -- this will force the iPod to turn on. Let it sit on for a few hours, and if it still turns itself off, you have a bad logic board. If it doesn't turn itself off, plug the cable back in, and let it sit and see if it turns itself off. If so, replace the cable / button.
