My touch screen is unresponsive after dropping my phone
I have an 8 month old Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime smartphone. It has worked fine until I dropped it a few nights ago. Now all of a sudden the touchscreen doesn't seem to be working correctly... It will lag or stop responding or respond erratically. I tried several fixes including taking the battery out, restarting, doing a TPS grid check, putting it in safe mode and uninstalling and reinstalling apps, etc. It is still not working normally. I need to know what to do. I do not have a service contract or insurance, bought the phone outright and use straight talk.
Thanks.
Is dit een goede vraag?
The digitizer was likely damaged from, the drop, are there any cracks on the screen?

Try taking it apart, unplugging the digitizer and use a bluetooth mouse to interact with the phone and see if the problem is fixed, if it is, replace the digitizer.

The screen isn't cracked.
I have no idea what a digitizer is or what that means lol.. I'm not very tech savvy.

I'd recommend taking this to a phone repair place, perhaps where you bought it? Usually they'd recommend the best option for you, or give you a replacement :)

A digitizer is another name for touch screen. LCD is the liquid crystal display that shows an image on the screen, it is sometimes separate from the digitizer and it is sometimes fused together.
Depending on what phone you have of course.
