ASUS Chromebook Flip C100P was released in 2012. This was the first-ever 10-inch convertible Chromebook released. It is a laptop running Google's Chrome OS. The C100P came available with 2GB or 4GB of RAM, and silver as the only color option. Repair of this device requires screwdrivers and prying tools.

Asus Chromebook Flip C100P is stuck in "laptop mode"

The screen doesn't auto change mode, and the on screen keyboard doesn't appear on the screen when I flip to tablet mode. When I flip it into tablet mode, the physical keyboard stays on allowing keystrokes. but I can't find the setting anywhere anymore, Please give me some suggestions to solve my problem.

Thank you for asking this question. You would need to talk to ASUS about this issue, because as far as I know, you already did the EC reset.

I realize this is an old question, but if you've arrived at this post because you have the same problem, make sure you do not have a USB mouse dongle inserted in one of the usb ports. For some reason, the external mouse disables tablet mode.

This is definitely a great answer, I experienced the same thing and had sort of forgotten that I had plugged in a Logitech receiver which can act as keyboard or mouse and disables tablet mode.

  • Step 1, do an EC reset. If that doesn't work, then
  • Step 2, talk to ASUS support
