I don't think you picked the right model. Please look on the bottom of your stand and give us the EMC #.

door

Can you post a picture? Also verify your model like mayer said. The screen on the newer imacs are assembled differently, as the glass is fused to the LCD with LOCA glue.

door

Actually, it's assembled with OCA for the newer models Ethan, same as most phone screens today, it isn't LOCA, would be far too messy, basically a non liquid version. :-)

door

Anyway, as both Mayer and Ethan have said, please give us the EMC number, if you have had it repaired recently by a third party, I would take it back.

Thanks for the EMC #, it is a Late 2012 and the display is one piece. I have changed the icon to the correct one. It is sealed, (or supposed to be). I don't have definitive answer for you. You could try removing the screen, and using compressed air from the opposite edge of the display and see if it can be blown out or at least moved to where it's less obvious. What concerns me, is where its mother and is your machine full of these?

Here's how to remove the display, but you will need an adhesive kit to put it back together.

I have no idea where the mother is :D the machine is still working fine no idea how it got in there. i can try to do that.

thanks for your help.

Before you open it up I would bring it into an Apple Store as clearly during the manufacturing process it got in. I would hope they would replace the screen under warranty. If they won't then give Mayer's idea a try.

door

I agree with Dan. See if Apple will replace it first. If not, that adhesive kit also has the cutter in it to go to the correct depth in removing the display.

Hey johanneskoepf22,

Can't you just suck it up with a vacuum cleaner?

I have the same issue, the spider was alive a few days ago and eventually dead in the middle of the screen. Very annoying. Anyone have any luck with getting apple to remove spider from their screen? There isn’t any spider in our office and per all the picture I saw with the same issue, it seems to be the same type of spider?!? Maybe the egg got in during manufacturing process?
