Why does 2 blank labels come out on start up?

Hi Bob, that is a normal self calibration when you first turn your printer on. The easiest way to void that is to never turn your printer off. All modern electronics are designed to be left on all the time. They go to sleep mode when not in use and use very little electricity. When you need it the printer will be needed. We have a similar printer that we use six days a week. We never turn it off. There is a way to stop the self calibration but I do not recommend it. It is too technical and you might need it in the future.
