Hello, I bought this Powermac G5 Used and it didnt come with a Graphics card, Ram or a DVD Drive, would any of those items stop the mac Powering on? When i switch the power on i hear One Click from the Power Supply? I'm guessing this is a good sign but when i hit the power button nothing happens, no Fans, no lights nothing. Could any of those items missing cause the mac to not power up?

The machine will not boot without RAM but you should get beeps. See if the PRAM battery has been removed and hit the reset button on the mother board.

There is a pram battery inside the computer, i have just check and i hit the reset button with i assume is the one below the lowest RAM Slot? then plugged it all back up and hit the power button and i still dont get anything. any more suggestions?

To reset the SMU on a Power Mac G5
1. Turn off the computer by selecting Shut Down from the Apple menu or by holding the power button until the computer turns off.
2. Open and remove both the metallic outer door and the inner plastic air deflector.
3. Remove the fan assembly immediately to the left of the processor module.
4. Press the SMU reset button on the logic board.
5. Replace the fan assembly, air deflector, and outer door.
6. Turn on the computer.
