Copy function not working

I have had my all in one printer for a few years. All other features work great but recently I have not been able to use the copy function. When I place the document to copy, it begins scanning but does not copy the document. Can you advise me how to resolve this issue?

Please advise on the following.

"Does not copy". When using the ADF or the platen glass (lying flat) or both? What happens, does a blank sheet of paper appear at the paper output or no sheet appears?

Can you 'scan' (not copy) a document using the printer's control panel scan option (or the PC software) back to the PC?
