Touch screen not working

I replaced the home button and put the iPad back together, and the touch screen quit working. I tried doing a hard reset multiple times, and nothing changed. I unplugged and replugged in the digitizer and still nothing. Any suggestions outside of replacing the digitizer? Thanks in advance!

So you removed the original glass and then put it back afterwards? Are there any small tears in the digitizer cable? Did you use a metal tool to lift the digitizer connector "flaps"? I would imagine that the screen could have been damaged in the removal process, it is very easy to do so.

Did you try pushing the cable in all the way. Alot of times the touch screen wont work if the cable is not plugged in to connector all the way.

If still no luck then Try using another Touch Screen and see if it works. Not all touch screens you buy will be working properly, some will be defected and wont work. If you tried a 2nd touch screen and still no luck then something is prob wrong with the connectors on the logic board.

Look to see if theres anything wrong with the Touch screen connectors on the logic board. The connectors might be damaged during the repair process. If connectors are damaged then you will need to replace the connectors using soldering.
