1 Why doesn't my Sony Handycam not focus?
Every time I try to take a picture or record my camera doesn't want to focus.

There may be a problem with the camera lens. Try referring to the lens repair guide. If that does not work look at the Troubleshooting Page. If you have further questions refer to the manual .

I have the same problem with my Sony Handycam HDR-XR 500V. It won't auto focus nor does the manual focus work? I am to believe I need a focus motor, but where do I find this part to install myself?
