Just a thought. Is your chosen audio output set to headphones? There is a power signal sent from the headphone socket to the audio controller to advise that the headphone is either in or out and so it knows how to direct the audio. If this is missing, due to faulty headphone jack or cabling, perhaps it may call this a 'power failure'. If your audio setting is for 'speakers' then perhaps I'm wrong in my assumption and sorry to have bothered you.
