iPhone won't turn on

i bought a refurbished iPhone 5c off of amazon that worked fine for about a week. Suddenly it would randomly restart or get stuck in recovery mode. I noticed if I was charging it would restart more often. Now the phone starts up but won't get past the apple logo. Once it gets to the point where the lock screen should show it just turns off.
