I have a loose charging port
Battery wont charge but the cable works on other devices.
Is this a good question?
Distributed by Verizon, the Ellipsis 7 is an Android 4.4 KitKat tablet that features a 7" display and a quad-core 1.2 GHz processor. Can also be identified with the model number QMV78.
Looks like it's a moderately easy fix. Imagine my fingers going up and down. There's about three cables that need to be removed, and a new charging port put on. The charging port is held down by two screws. But, it does sound like you could easily damage your device, attempting this repair, if your not experienced in these kine things
I have the same problem. I haven't had the time to take mine apart. However in the mean time you can get the cable to charge the tablet if you elevate the charging cord right before the plug. By elevating the cord, it will make the contacts on your power cord connect with the port on your tablet thus letting the tablet charge. You can use anything to elevate the cord deck of cards, etc.
Just watch the top right of your tablet to make sure it is showing that the battery is actually charging.
It is a temporary fix. If when I get time I will take my tablet apart and replace the charging port. I will then post instructions here.
Sorry for the long post
