waste Ink absorber pads

It appears Canon has blocked access to purchase waste ink pads from their customers. My printer will soon be in need of these pads, and my efforts to find a seller has not happened. Pad kits in the past have sold for in the price range of $15.00. I spoke with a dealer awhile back who advised me the price is now around $80.00 but not for sale to the public. Perhaps your readers have some information to help in my search. Thank you, Dale W. McSwain
