After FPC Connector repair received the following message from tech.

hate to be the bearer of bad news, there were 3 to 5 solder pads damaged, 3 of them were not connected to anything in the circuit, one of the pads was still on but loose and the other one gone. I was able to jumper the one that was gone back in the circuit but do not know where the other one goes.

Tried to put the new connector on to see if the pad that was loose was still connected. Ipad tries to boot up but then the apple symbol goes away.

Pic is of how i received it back, is there a way to find out the missing pad to jump it

A more correct statement from "the tech" would be "Due to my inexperience with this repair, I accidentally tore off three of your solder pads attempting to replace the fpc connector. I am so sorry, I will replace this board for you at no charge"

This is technician damage not "it just happened"

You can use the schematic to find where the missing pads connect to. They *may* connect under a bga chip which is not feasible to make a microjumper to attach to. Otherwise, they will connect to a nearby test point which is almost always the case. Pull those black stickers to expose your test points. Find a copy of your schematic and get busy.
