power, volume and lock buttons not working after cable replacement

I broke the old cable while removing the digitizer. I ordered a new one and followed the guide to remove and replace. Now none of the buttons on the cable work. I have seated the cable into it's socket on the camera board as appropriate (I think), and the cameras still work. Any suggestions on what I should try?

Re-install the new cable, closely following the online instructions. Make sure all screws and connection ports are secure.
