My instax camera fell about less than 1m height, and now the red light next to the viewing lens is not disappearing. Due to that, i cannot take photos when i press the button. Help?

Hi! A few minutes ago, I had the same problem. I also dropped my camera and the red light won't disappear. I've tried other batteries but it didn't work. After 30 minutes of changing the batteries it worked again. I suggest you use AA LR6 batteries. They have to be from the SAME brand. Don't use 2 different brand batteries. I hope it will work! (Also, please use NEW batteries. I changed my batteries with old ones and that's probably why it didn't work after 30 minutes)

Do i have to also insert the films with batteries before i turn the cam on?
Dont stress I tried that method, it didnt work I dropped my camera too I tried to take the picture but the red light wouldnt go away ,all I had to do was keep it off overnight when you wakeup it will be good as new it just needed time to reboot NO BATTERIES NEEDED !TRY THIS METHOD !!!!!
Mine has the red light but it's brand new and has never even come close to being dropped and i'm really worried about it. I tried changing the batteries but that didn't make a difference.

how come when I take a picture the picture comes out white and stays white? is the film broken & before I put this new film the old film I had was perfectly fine? is my film wrong or my camera?

You have to waft it to get colour
this happened to my camera.. it might be different for you but i kept taking out the film so when I took a picture it turned out white so I just put a new film pack in my camera and it started to print the pictures again.
That means you exposed the film after the film is exposed you need to change the film and not expose film
1. make sure it’s on the right setting. if you have your camera on the wrong setting then the shot will be over exposed. 2. once you take out your film it is NOT important to waft it. put it in a clean, dark place, like a bag or pocket and let it sit there for 3-7 minutes. it should have developed

Hi! My camera did the same thing for about 6 hours. I found that Duracell batteries worked and the camera works great! Hope that helps!

I used energizer. And tried all positions for batteries , still not working.
call the # on your box ask for batteries I got ultra digital that came with the camera

If you make sure that all of the batteries are popped just perfectly into they're spots it will work. Make sure they're all facing the same way too. I thought I could never fix mine and I did by doing this.

amirez3 it happened exact the same thing to my polaroid, it is horrible because today is chritsmas and i couldnt take any pic... i tried literaly eveything, everthing! changing the bateries, the stock, literally verything. so please hel me beause i tried new bateria, actually the ones suggested in this page and it dint work... reallyyy help me i want to have some memories a least for new years!

I droped my phone a week ago and the thing that does the filters came off, it flashed red and would not take a photo, so i tried the batteries and tried everything then it finally worked, it was perfectly fine until today when i took the peice where you change filters off again because i thought i put it on wrong and now its doing the same thing but wont take photos or anything! HELP!

Hi, we had the same issue with the Instax mini 8 andblinking lights and we could not get out the casette, we solved* Hit <enter> to insert another list item, and <enter> twice in a row to end the list. To get subitems, repeat the bullet character once for each level of indent you want (e.g. **) this by using a sisser and knife.the problem is rhat the last picture was hanging and this was caused by the small silver item in the right corner when you open it. After we removed the last casette to put a new one in this silver item did not get back to the right corner but was about 1cm above.We solved this by putting the old empty casette in it, pushed the button to make a picture and then removed the old casette again, now it was solved , the silver item was back in the right corner again and after installing a new casette it was working perfectly again

I had the same problem but you just have to leave the camera alone for about 10-15 minutes. Then you have to take out the batteries and get new ones. Finally you have to take out the pictures that you put in and reput them in. If that doesnt work then I dont know but it worked for me. The first picture you take might not come out but the second one should.

I have a problem with mine, I still had film so I took a picture but my picture never came out.i told out the film box and see that the picture I had just taken was stuck where it comes out of. Now, it still doesn’t allow me to take pictures, what do I do.. please help.

I have a problem with the red light, I haven't used the camera for 6 months or more and today when I was going to take the picture, the first film came out white but the second picture I took came out normal. I took the film out because it also marked that it has 10 films but it has like 4. The red light its still going on and I don't know whats going on. Can someone help me? Also, I haven't drop the camera, its been sitting on my shelf for a while.

The same thing happened to me!! My camera has been sitting on a shelf for 1+ year and when I went to take a picture with the film I had in my camera and it worked but then when I chnaged the film packet thing for a new one it stopped working. The red light by the view finder was on I changed the batteries and the little orange lights by the lens are flashing.
I'm having this same problem dont know what to do help

You just have to take a or both batteries out and then put them back in again...at least that worked for me.

I switched my batteries ( Kirkland signature )the first time and it came out white and took it again while covering the flashlight thingy and it came out black than made the batteries look the same way and took a photo and it came out normal.

I had the same problem, mine was turning on but every time i pushed the button no film would come out as though i hadnt turned it on what i dicovered was that light is probably just indicating that you need to change your batteries, when i changed mine my camera was good as new.

At first, my camera was just broken. I have the Instax mini 9 and I dropped it a couple of times and it was working after that but I have a photoshoot tomorrow at school and I went to get the camera that I haven’t touched in so long and the red light was just stuck there. I replaced the batteries and did everything I could and spent 2 hours fixing it. Then, I took out the batteries and switched them and opened the back. It started whirring and it took a picture. The light starting flashing again and now it works. Hope this helps!

Hello, i have a problem with my Instax mini 8. I think it was 2yrs since the last time I used it. I kept it in the cabinet for that long. 2wks ago I tried opening it but the batteries got too old some particles were scattered. I cleansed it with wipes and cotton buds with alcohol but not too wet. Just the right amount to weep all the dirt. I just bought new films and new Everedy Alkaline AA to try it but it won't turn on. No light at the front and at the back. Need help!

Fresh batteries, buy a new pack i went through 4 pairs, then i grabbed one from from a new pack and the camera worked.
