Aged mother poured water into the coffee bean grate, will it recover?
She poured ~2 1/2 cups water. I've got every possible hatch open and have used lots of paper towels in the inside, and a rack underneath for air circulation. Can the machine survive this? Can the wires/motor withstand having been drenched? I'm afraid to plug it back in.
Is dit een goede vraag?

Plugged it in, heated fine, released the heated rinse water fine - then made a unfamiliar noise (when it should have been grinding beans) said 'fill beans' (which were full) and then reset to 'ready' -- all without dispensing any coffee. So the grind/tamp is messed up somehow. What do?!

Take out the grinder. Good chance to clean it. If it's old, maybe replace the burrs while at it. Wash everything and reassemble. Hope it works.
You'll see if there's any suspect water when you open it. But definitely running it in this condition was abad idea.
No fear. you can fix it.
