This laptop was released in September of 2010, Identified by model number Inspiron N5030 or Inspiron 15. It is an all black laptop with a DELL logo in the center of the top cover, a mouse pad with separated left and right key buttons, and a disc drive on the right hand side of the computer.

Is there a special tool required to reconnect the wide ribbon cable

Is there a special tool required to reconnect the wide ribbon cable from the keyboard back to the motherboard. It disconnected when I lifted the keyboard and I can't get my fingers inside to reconnect as the cable is too short and very flimsy to try to get it positioned back to the motherboard.

I noticed the 2 ribbon cables disconnected in the photos and was finally able to get the thin one connected, but there's no mention of reconnecting these. The thin cable seemed to go to the touch pad and the fatter one to the keyboard.

There is a special tool actually it's called small Asian hands that made it in the first place. The keyboard ribbon on a laptop is so short you need them hands to get in there.
