How do you repair 3DS conductive button pads?

I've taken apart a broken 3DS, and have fixed several problems with it. One that I can't without further parts, however, is the button receptors on the motherboard.

I've seen some on sale, and want to buy them. However, I'm unsure how to remove the old ones safely. I've carefully picked at them to see if they peel off, but they seem to be on there pretty hard.

These buttons do peel up. I have a straight pick that has a very sharp edge that I use for this job. It is hard sometimes to get the buttons up without damaging the board, but can be done.

Keep in mind that if the lower digitizer was bad that can also make the buttons not work so if you replaced it you may want to test it again to see if that fixed it.

Sometimes when the buttons are bad it's because the board itself is bad so be sure to check it out carefully when you get the buttons off. I clean mine with 91% Isopropyl Alcohol.

I hope this helps...good luck
