Loud CPU fan after SSD RAID 0 upgrade

I have a 27" mid-2010 iMac with a 1TB HDD and a 256GB SSD. I jus replaced both with two 256GB Samsung 840 Pro SSD's, set them up as a stripped RAID set and installed OSX fresh on the single 512 GB volume.

Initially the HDD and CPU fans were both blasting at full speed. I managed to fix the HDD fan speed by installing SSD Fan Control which reads the S.M.A.R.T. temp. of the SSD's, but the CPU fan mysteriously stays loud. My LCD temperature sensor is firmly plugged but it doesn't seem to make any difference if it's unplugged or not.

Can someone offer any advice to me? Could the LCD temp. sensor be damaged?

Change the Hard drive temperature sensor cable to Apple part #922-9538. This machine also uses different hard drive temperature sensor cables for the three major hard drive manufacturers. You may also need to use Apples SSD Data cable, part# 922-9538. I have no idea why both cables carry the same part number.

Do you think changing the SATA cables will also fix the loud CPU fan?

The racing fan noise is caused by the temperature sensor.
