opening and cleaning a compact camera

hi, I have a canon PowerShot G7 and I've noticed that the sensor is dirty, the thing is my SLR cameras are easy to clean but the G7 has a closed body. So if someone can help with a sort of manual to do that I'll be a very very thankful guy.

ok, and if somethig goes wrong - like scratching the ir filter - "convert" it to a IR camera - the G models are perfect for that ;-)

yes - it is

but there are a few more things you will need

first of all:

howto clean it or getting the filter out

the next step is getting two filters and the conversion tube for the g7

the filter conversion tube will cost less than 10$ on ebay,you will need a hoya r72 ir filter - the wavelenght is 720nm and you will be able to have color in your pictures (picture search for hoya r72)

the nex filter you will need is a ir filter (in case you want ever go back with normal colored pictures with this camera)
