Airport Card not detected

Have a MBP 15" A1286 that will not detect Airport Card. I have replaced the airport card with the same model. Have ran Apple Hardware Test (AHT) using snow Leopard disc and no problems detected. Replaced all cables associated with it airport card. Zapped the PRAM/reset SMC. Put another hard drive in, imaged that with snow Leopard and it does not detect airport card. Am I missing anything to try? Please Help. Thanks in advance.

Just where is "it" not detecting the card? Menu Bar? System Information? Did you in SystemPreferences->Network Preferences: Remember to add the wifi interface? After it was added on the left side list did you remember to turn Airport on?

I went to system preferences-network and when I try to turn on wi-fi it would come back with "airport Card not installed" message. When I try to add to wi-fi interface on left side list, it does not give me the option to add "airport" only ethernet ot firewire interfaces.

Yes, I used the ifixit guide to remove and replace the airport card. I have replaced the airport isight cable already and the isight works fine.

The iSight camera works - Right? If not then the logic board has a problem. Just so odd... Two Airport cards and a new cable still not working.

Yes the iSight camera works fine. Yeah that is what's baffling me.

Did you follow this guide? Replacing Airport iFixIt guide. You could have damaged the Camera/Airport cable or its connector is the only thing I can think of.

Thanks Nick, but no unfortunately not. I did not see any thing "burnt" on the mobo. It's probably something on the system board that stopped working. Anyway, just resorted to using a USB Wi-Fi on the Mac that was compatible.
