My iMac G5 20" has started crashing when I restart it with the keyboard plugged in (USB). I've tried several with the same results. When I only plug in a mouse, it starts up and seems to be fine. The keyboard works fine on my other iMac G5. Also Safari and then Firefox crash frequently. Disk Utility says the HD is fine. Are these somehow related? Is there a large underlying problem?

Start up in "Safe Mode" by holding down the "Shift key". Try using a different USB port.

What happens when you plug in the other keyboard?
