iPod is disabled and not being detected in itunes or the computer

Ok, so I got this Ipod to repair, and it came disabled. It will charge, but it won't be detected by itunes. On a windows machine, it shows up as an unknown device in device manager. It doesn't matter if it is DFU or not, I can't get it to interact at all.

Any ideas?
