I ran the head cleaning 3 times and the color came back when I ran nozzle check, but no black. I ran it 4 more times; still no black. I then did the manual disassembly and cleaning shown here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xb7Bc1jGIrA and put a fan on the head for 15 minutes to make sure it got dried out and still no black. I ran the head cleaning 3 more times. No black. And over the course of all these cleanings the color actually got worse. A week later I ran the nozzle check again: no black. Then I head cleaning utility again. All my colors are back, including black! So for what it is worth: persevere! Save another printer from a landfill! Thanks to all who posted their extraordinary efforts which encouraged me to persevere :-)
