@tpick33 I do agree with @theimedic You definitely could do better. Using compressed air will only push the water (and the debris in the water) under components i.e IC's and can cause corrosion and short circuits. A blow dryer will evaporate e the water but again will leave the component in the water that are responsible for corrosion etc. Startbby cleaning the board properly. Use the guide the was provide by iMedic or use [guide|5825|this one.] It was written for an iPhone but all the points are still pertinent to your phone as well. Use [guide|51202|this guide] to remove the motherboard.
-Once you have all that done, and nothing has changed, you can try and trouble shoot the board. It is possible that the distorted sounds is caused by a failed speaker circuitry or by a failed receiver circuitry. I attached troubleshooting guides for both of those.
