* Controleer de kabels aan de binnenkant van het toestel op scheuren, vouwen en andere schade. Raadpleeg [[Topic:iPhone|deze handleiding|new_window=true]] om te zien welke kabels bij het scherm horen. In oudere iPhone's is het mogelijk dat er een kabel specifiek voor het touchscreen is. 
* Heb je je scherm recentelijk vervangen. Het nieuwe scherm kan beschadigd zijn. Sommige schermen van derde partijen zijn kwalitatief twijfelachtig. Neem contact op met het verkooppunt of de winkel die de reparatie heeft uitgevoerd of waar je het scherm hebt gekocht en vraag naar de garantieregeling.

== De pinnen van de thuisknopaansluiting zijn verbogen ==

Dit probleem komt alleen voor in iPhone's 7, 7 Plus, 8 en 8 Plus. Het kan ook voorkomen in de tweede of derde generatie iPhone SE-modellen, omdat er dezelfde onderdelen in worden gebruikt. Vaak komt het voor na een reparatie die niet helemaal perfect is verlopen, en waar het scherm vaak is losgekoppeld en weer is aangesloten.

* Sluit het scherm aan, maar laat de thuisknop losgekoppeld en kijk of het touchscreen weer werkt. De flexkabel van de thuisknop is de buitenste van de onderste twee kabel die uit het scherm komen.
* Het is erg handig om hier een [tools|Inspection|vergrootgals] of andere vergrotende tool bij te hebben.

* De pinnen in de vier hoeken van de aansluiting kunnen vast komen te zitten onder de bovenkant. Gebruik een naald of een pincet met scherpe punten om de pinnen onder de lip van de aansluiting weg te buigen. 
* Als de pinnen afgebroken zijn, zul je de aansluiting moeten vervangen. Als je hier niet de juiste tools of soldeerervaring voor hebt, raden we je aan een lokale reparateur te vinden.

Het moederbord is het centrum voor vrijwel alle functies van de iPhone. Als een van de kleine onderdelen op het moederbord niet (goed) functioneert, kan het effect hebben op een heleboel functies. Als geen van bovenstaande oplossingen heeft gewerkt om het probleem op te lossen, kun je er eigenlijk van uitgaan dat er een probleem op of met het moederbord is.
