You need to unlock it through Cydia. Unlocking and Jailbreaking are two separate things. It's actually really easy. 1. Open Cydia. 2. Go to “Manage”. 3. Click on “Sources”. 4. Click on “Edit”. 5. Click on “Add” and type in “http://repo666.ultrasn0w.com” (that’s a zero) 6. Go to “Search” and type in “ultrasn0w 0.93″ 7. Select the package and install it. 8. Reboot your phone. Your iPhone should now be unlocked! Mic-B
Meer informatieHey there, if you are good at dis-assembly, you may check the trackpad/keyboard ribbon cable. I had the same problem with a macbook pro. Problem is, I haven't found somewhere that sells *just* that cable, so you may be looking at a few hundred dollars in parts for the whole top assembly. Hope this helps! Mic-B
Meer informatieIf I understand your problem correctly, you may need to change your APN settings. I am not familiar with your particular phone model; but T-Mobile is a GSM provider, and moving a phone to a new GSM provider requires updating the entries for your APN. Try testing your data connection with your phone's browser or something similar to ensure that you don't have a data connection. If you do, this is not the problem your experiencing. Incoming and outgoing servers for your e-mail are separate settings; to find your APN information, download a manual for a smartphone that T-Mobile sells and it should be in there somewhere. Went through the same process with my unlocked iPhone :) Hope this helps! Mic-B
Meer informatieYou should try restoring in DFU mode... Step 1. Turn off your iPod Touch. Step 2. Hold down the power and home button. Step 3. When you see the Apple logo, release the power button but continue holding the home button down. Step 4. Open iTunes and wait for it to tell you that its in restore mode. After it is in DFU mode, you can restore a backup or a fresh install of iOS. Hope this helps! Mic-B
Meer informatieSorry Thomas, Your model's maximum RAM is 2GB. To max it out properly, you would want to install 2x1GB RAM sticks. Hope this helps. Mic-B
Meer informatieCould also just be a loose connection underneath the logic board. I found reconnecting the ribbon cable properly underneath the board to be very difficult and time consuming. At one point my screen had flipped itself, but I found through some perseverance and care that nothing too major had to be modified in order to get it working properly. This might be your problem; might not. Just my $0.02.
Meer informatieWell, the cord that would be most readily visible is the one connecting the interior buttons on the backplate... volume, silent switch, sleep, etc... these are also mounted on the top right of the phone looking from the back, so that could be what your referring to. If you can pull it in and out of sleep and adjust volume, this is not the problem. The antenna cable runs along the right side (looking from the front) so this could also be what your referring to. To my knowledge, the longer one is for bluetooth and wi-fi (anyone, feel free to correct me if i'm wrong here) and the short one controls power to the antennas and your cell service. Severing this cable can be catastrophic, but may not be your problem considering that you seem to have visuals on screen. Sadly, however, the chances of repairing any of the ribbon cables in these units is extremely low, if not impossible for the average bear. Same goes for the antenna cables as well. You most likely only need to order replacement parts to get back to...
Meer informatieHey! I ran into this problem late last year with a Black MacBook. These models were manufactured around the same time, so I wouldn't be surprised if something like this works. Take a paperclip (or something similar), unbend it, and fish around in the headphone jack (carefully!) until you "close" the optical sensor. (I don't know if there is better term for this). You might also try plugging and unplugging a set of headphones a few times, it could have a similar effect. Worked like a charm on the black unit.
Meer informatieOne thing you may try, especially if the battery is new (as you said) is to let it run down all the way so it is completely empty and will not run, and then throw it on a charger and leave it alone until it hits (hopefully) 100%. It's worth a shot. EDIT: Another thing to try is resetting the phone settings. Other threads seem to have come across this as a solution when a physical battery calibration doesn't do the trick.
Meer informatieSounds like the boat I just stepped off of. I had a similar problem when I replaced my battery initially. When I lifted the battery out, the leads just came right off of the communications board. I attempted scraping the first layer of the PCB (lightly) in that spot in order to find traces for the connections. Sadly, if those leads come off it is nigh-impossible to resurrect IMHO. Long story short, my iPhone showed the exact same symptoms as you described (When plugged in, logo would come up and it would look as if the screen lost power and the logo would fade) and the communications board needed to be replaced. I contacted iFixIt and they did not have the parts required in stock. I did find them through a retailer (LaptopAid) on eBay and their part worked like a charm! A new communications board + presoldered battery was only $45US through them and they have quick shipping. Hope this helps!
