Jacob Cordeiro

Hello my name is Jacob Cordeiro I am a Junior at the University of Rhode Island. My major is Criminal Justice. I chose this major because I have always had interest in law enforcement and I have always wanted to further my knowledge of the subject. After I graduate from college my dream is to get into the Rhode Island Police Academy and become an Environmental Police Officer for the State of Rhode Island.

A major project that I have worked on and still am currently working on is my 1969 Ford Mustang. My father and I purchased this car at the start of the COVID 19 pandemic and the car was in horrible condition at the time. Over the past 5 years we have made many improvements from rebuilding the engine and transmission, and most recently we just re-did the entire interior of the car.

This is our Mustang, one of the only steps we have left is to paint the car, our plan is to paint the car Candy Apple red next winter.

As I had said previously I have repaired an engine and transmission, also my father is a finish carpenter and during the summer I work for him and we have had many different jobs from rebuilding porches to rebuilding bath rooms.

I have had a few Accolades in my past, I graduated high school a as high honor student athlete and this past semester I made the URI’s dean's list.

Currently I do not belong to any club, societies, or organizations. In my spare time I enjoy working on my mustang with my father, playing video games, and when the weather's nice I enjoy golfing. I feel as though this project will first allow me to build on my social interaction skills by working with clients to be able to do the best job that I can do. Also it will allow m
