I finally managed to disassemble most of the fryer unfortunately it wasn't the mains fuse or the thermal fuse and seeing all the electronics inside I decided to give up. However, just in case anyone else comes up with a problem on this fryer, I thought I'd post a few pictures on how I did it. It may save someone some time and aggravation. Top view. The display panel is first to be removed. This view gives an idea of the clips underneath. The display comes off with the display board attached. There are four screw attaching the board to the display. These need separation so the the board can fit through the silver surround. This is showing the clips under the silver surround. It is a pain in the whatsit to take off. I only broke one of the clips. Having removed the surround I need to remove the board. Just two cables. With the board removed the eight screws can be removed. Note the position of the screws as there are four small and four bigger. This is where I got to and had to stop as my troubleshooting...
