The guild is really good for the most part. The only part where I was a little unsure was at step 31 where it says to “Pull the digitizer ribbon cable straight out of its two sockets on the logic board”. I wasn’t sure whether I need to pull horizontally (in the direction the cable was running) or vertically(away from the work surface). Fortunately I tried pulling horizontally and that ended up being correct. Before and after that step it was smooth sailing. I don’t even use Apple stuff but at least (thanks to this guild) I’ve now fixed one for a family member.
