Antwoord op "How to solder battery connector fact to logic board?"For the iPod Classic battery connection FPC connection, they are sold, are repairable, and are not difficult to do with a solder iron, thin tip will get it done. The part is easy to remove, easy to solder on for someone with experience. Take it to a professional to get it done. There are times when some of the solder pads are lifted but even then, they can be repaired, just some re-routing of the connections using thin wire. Avoid the epoxy and use solder, repair as it was meant to be repaired, don't rig it up. You will just waste time. A professional can get it done with solder, using an iron. https://www.facebook.com/Zfixit/photos/p...
Antwoord op "Broken charger port - can I use other iPod parts to fix"Hi, a little self promotion, I follow iFixit and have learned a great deal from them. If you want to try your self, you can but please keep in mind that the 5th Gen Classic is easy to open but the port is not something that can be done on a 1st try. As others have mentioned soldering wick ... not going to work! You need a special de-soldering station as the solder is buried through the anchor hole at four points and wick does not get it done ... trust me, I have tried ... many times.... and then I purchased the correct desoldering station for this repair that works on touch 2/3 and all classics. Leave this particular repair to a seasoned professional that has the right equipment. I run http://www.bustedapple.com (National Mail-in) and http://www.zfixit.com (Local San Antonio TX Site) and you can mail in repair on a classic charge port at bustedapple.com. I have the best price for this repair ($45 + Shipping on a 5/6/7 Classic), easy does it for me .... but the iPod must have have been working prior!...
Antwoord op "How to replace headphone jack?"Headphone jacks for this model are hard to find, most are pulled from non-functioning units and re-used. Very easy repair.
