I have 2 Mid 2015 MacBook Pros. One is the top-tier Mid-2015 - 2.8GHz 16GB with AMD Radeon R9 M370X 2048 MB / Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB. It's in poor shape, with a cracked screen. The other is also a Mid-2015 - 2.2GHz 16GB MJLQ2LL/A (2.2 GHz) with Intel Iris Pro 5200. It's in almost perfect shape. If I understand Dan’s reply, is there any reason that I couldn't take the logic board along with the second fan and heat sink from the one with the cracked screen and put it in the other one?
I need to remove a cracked bezel on the bottom of a MacBook Air M1. I am wondering if it would be better to use the iOpener versus a hair dryer to safely remove the bezel, considering the display panel might be damaged by using too much heat (or by using too little heat - necessitating additional force to free the bezel).
This is a big step for Apple. They improved security to fully protect their devices from tampering by rogue consumers who falsely believe that just because they purchase a device, they have some kind of right to upgrade or repair it. Apple knows full well that there is an ample supply of fools who will overlook this limitation because PURPLE.
