Hey there! My name is Alexander DeFilippis and I am an Aeronautics major at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Ever since I was in my mother’s womb I traveled in airplanes. I absolutely fell in love with planes when I was a small and now I’m at the best university in the country to learn to fly them.
I am currently working on finishing my undergraduate degree and am currently finishing my Instrument flight course. I never could ever see myself being stuck in an office for a career, I need to be hands on and involved for my sanity’s sake. One day I learned about Embry-Riddle and researched their flight program. I visited the school for a tour and immediately fell in love.
I’ve always been a hands-on type of learner and have fixed a variety of things thanks to the internet. When i was young I would learn to fix game console controllers and in my early teen years my father taught me about cars. My father always said, “Don’t pay a mechanic 500 dollars for what you can do yourself for 100.”. We didn’t have a lot of money, so we saved as much as we can where we could. I’m excited to put my fixing skills to the test! I’m eager to develop my technical report communication skills to use them to help others learn.
