don't skip disconnecting the sensor, even if isn't still glued to the case. it has to move away from the NFC/charging coil assembly in order to free the latter so it can be lifted away from the battery.
took me hours, partly becus i was so compulsive about keeping the screws in a schematic pic to maintain correct position of each one, and also i had to redo several several operations while assembling due to trapping ribbon cable connectors under board, etc. but the worst was that i was utterly defeated by ribbon cable connector #6, i must have had it a tiny bit misaligned when i first pressed it together and the resulting distortion prevented subsequent re-connection despite over an hour of fussing and trying to re-shape this nearly-microscopic and quite inaccessible component, which is labeled as the BT, WiFi & GPS antenna connector. so finally i taped over it to hold the connector in position, and reassembled the display onto the shell with a bit of spongy foam rubber over it to ( i desperately hope) keep the conductors in contact.
fired it up and it acted normal, seems to detect WiFi and BT signals but haven’t really used it yet. battery showed 63% but rapidly dropped to 54%, then slowly diminished.
