Hi guys, just to let you know the phone works now! I placed a new screen on it and left it on charge and it just turned on, the flex cable was damaged cheers for all of your input. To get the sim to work I heated up the sim tray which has soap and then blew the phone out with an air gun... Rightly or wrongly doing so its fixed!!

Hi David, thanks for your input I have a multi meter at work so I’ll give it a try! Where would you place the amp meters rods on the phone to see where the power is coming from? The screen was definitely damaged I need to place a new one on it as well so I’m hoping that’s the case! If the board is broken then I take it that the phone is dead? Is there any way to retrieve the data of it? I appreciate all of this help thank you!
