Hi Gabriel, A semibroken battery can cause all sorts of weird problems in a MacBook, so yes, this can all be because of the battery. Also, a broken battery tends to swell up, pressing against the touchpad and thus creating touchpad issues. If you open up the machine and remove the battery you can check if (some of) the problems disappear. You can also try running a different OS to see if it does anything about the touchpad problem.
Sounds like the connector on the Logic board is indeed your problem. In my experience that usually does result in a black screen rather than a white one tho. You can replace the connector but that depends on your skill level and tools. Ebay is (as always) your friend. The repair is pretty straight forward and mostly relies on a steady hand. Since you talk about doing iPad/iPhone repairs and got not much left to lose this is probable your best chance.
You can easily change the RAM modules yourself. If you unscrew the back you can see it's right on top. You can remove it by pressing the sides next to it black plastic) outwards, which will cause the RAM to pop up, after that you can just gently pull them out. Problems with the RAM usually give intermittent beeps, instead of a continuous tone tho.
Die you try DFU mode? I don't really understand what you already tried it what the current problem with the phone is. Is it turned off at the moment? Does iTunes recognise it?
