Hi Mark, First, you should check that the charging bay is plugged into a working outlet. If so, inspect the charging contacts located in the charging bay near where the rear of the screwdriver sits. Be sure there is nothing blocking these contacts from making full contact with the contacts on the screwdriver (i.e. dirt, debris etc.). Also, if the contacts inside of the charging bay are jammed, bent or damaged in any way, this will affect the charging capabilities of the charging bay. Consult the device repair guide for steps on disassembly of the charging bay for repair and/or replacement of the charging bay contacts if damaged. If the contacts of the charging bay are making full contact with the contacts on the screwdriver, consider replacing the screwdriver's battery. Hi Mark, According to your description, the work area LED light is coming on when pulling the trigger. In result, this indicates that the screwdriver battery has not yet been depleted. First, remove any load from the screwdriver (if any) and test for rotation again. If the screwdriver rotates after removing the load, it is possible that you are over-torqueing the screwdriver; select another torque setting by rotating the torque selector located just behind the bit socket. If the screwdriver does NOT turn after removing the load to the screwdriver and pulling the trigger, consider opening the device and inspecting the brushes for the electric motor internally. Consult the device repair manual for detailed instructions on inspection and replacement of the brushes.
Hi Mark, There are a few potential problems that may be causing you to have this issue. First, you should check to see that your battery is fully charged by checking the indicator light on the screwdriver. If dim, place the screwdriver onto the charging bay and allow time for the screwdriver to charge. If the screwdriver is charged and still will not drive the screw in fully, try selecting another torque setting by twisting the selector located near the bit socket of the screwdriver. If after attempting both of these steps and the screw will still not drive in fully, inspect the bit for any damage and/or looseness within the fitting of the head of the screw, as one or both of the components may have been stripped.
