- Het gebruik van slechts één type schroef vereenvoudigt de reparatie.
- Het gebrek aan modulariteit, vooral bij poorten die onderhevig zijn aan slijtage, maakt reparaties onnodig duur.
- Voor het vervangen van welk onderdeel dan ook moet de schermmodule worden verwijderd; dit is een onderdeel dat makkelijk (en duur) te beschadigen is.

A big part of the Surface’s thermal solution is the aluminum backshell. If they added thermal pads between the back of the CPU and PMIC area of the PCB and the case, it would definitely be a nice touch.
