    • Turn the drive over, noting the black rubber strips. Carefully peel each strip off, to reveal a set of two phillips screws under each strip.

  3. LaCie Minimus Teardown: stap 3, afbeelding 1 van 2 LaCie Minimus Teardown: stap 3, afbeelding 2 van 2
    • Remove the two sets of phillips screws and set them aside.

  4. LaCie Minimus Teardown: stap 4, afbeelding 1 van 1
    • Carefully push on the front, black faceplate to slide the drive and housing out of the case.

  5. LaCie Minimus Teardown: stap 5, afbeelding 1 van 2 LaCie Minimus Teardown: stap 5, afbeelding 2 van 2
    • Note the label: Warranty Void If Seal Broken. In this case, we want to retrieve the data and do not care about the warranty. Remove the label, to expose one of the four total screws on the side to remove the internal drive.

  6. LaCie Minimus Teardown: stap 6, afbeelding 1 van 2 LaCie Minimus Teardown: stap 6, afbeelding 2 van 2
    • Carefully remove the four screws holding the drive in the caddy, making sure that the hard drive does not slip out or damage the SATA controller card towards the rear of the case.

  7. LaCie Minimus Teardown: stap 7, afbeelding 1 van 2 LaCie Minimus Teardown: stap 7, afbeelding 2 van 2
    • The drive is now removed. Use an external hard drive reader, etc., such as the Cavalry in the second picture, to hopefully access your drive.

Drive inside say

5VDC / 12VDC - 0.5A 0.7A

But my replace say:

5VDC, 0,60A

12VDC, 0,45A

Is that OK or should I not change?
