My battery wouldn't hold a charge for more than an hour or two.
It's a good thing I read the comments because some of the steps are not necessary, as others said. I used the suction to pull the screen up and was being very careful, but it still popped off with more force than I wanted. Don't bother disconnecting the LCD and two other cables, it's just asking for trouble. Just hold the screen up and disconnect the battery cable. I used only the pull tab on the battery to get it un-stuck because of the reviews of others that leveraged a piece of the phone and broke something. Although it's not comfortable, holding the body of the phone only by the edges of the case is a safe bet to not push too hard on the insides. Again, just be careful not to pry hard. Listen closely and when it starts un-sticking, ease up. Turns out when I got it put back together the LCD didn't show anything at all. One more time inside and the LCD connector had popped up just a smidge, so re-seating that made everything happy again.
If there's some way of making sure your hand stops after just an inch of prying the screen, do it. I was lucky I just pulled the LCD connector off and didn't rip the cable. Same goes for pulling the battery off. Don't even open the cover for connectors to the LCD, camera, and others unless you suspect they've come loose. On putting the screen back together, make sure you're pushing it early on lightly into the top of the case so it lines up correctly as it comes together.
