Mijn probleem

My battery was not holding a charge and then the lock button quit working.

Mijn oplossing

The repair was pretty straight forward. Without the Magnetic Project Mat, I would have lost the tiny screws everywhere. I read people saying it shouldn't take more than an hour to do, but it took me more like 3 hours. I installed the cable and battery, put the whole phone back together, tried to turn it on and it didn't work. Thinking I had killed the phone, I plugged it in and the screen came on. Once it booted up, none of the buttons other than the home button worked. I looked at the old cable and realized I had forgotten to connect that new cable. So I had to open it back up and connect that cable. After disassembling and reassembling the phone again... Success! Battery has been much better and the home button works great.

Mijn advies

The battery replacement is easy. If you attempt the cable replacement, write notes on the Magnetic Mat. Also, note that the ringer switch has the red line up (towards the screen). I wouldn't attempt the cable replacement without magnetic screw drivers either.
