Mijn probleem
Shattered screen. Phone was still functional, but swiping across the screen was hazardous.
Mijn oplossing
The iPhone 5 Display Assembly was a complete kit. All parts and tools necessary for the swap were included. The process took me about an hour, but that included watching multiple videos (replaying frequently as needed). If I had to do it again I could probably complete it in under 15 minutes.
Mijn advies
The videos were great, but lacked the reassembly steps. For someone who has never seen the inside of a smart phone before, I had several really simple questions. i.e. Do I just put all the parts back in the reverse order as I removed them? (Yes.) Do I need to remove the film covering the new touch screen? (Yes. I almost didn't even notice the film was there.) Do I need to glue down those parts that appeared to have been glued down originally? (Not necessarily.)
Just take your time, keep track of where all the itty bitty screws go (very important), don't force anything, and if you run into a snag dig around online for an answer.
Having done this once I would have no reservations about doing it again.
