MacBook Battery Replacement

Mijn probleem

The battery on my MacBook Pro would not charge. It only operated when the power pack was connected to the laptop. My evaluation of the unit was that the battery needed to be replaced. I found IFIXIT online and saw some good reviews on the products they sell. I purchased the replacement battery.

Mijn oplossing

The repair was quite simple. I unscrewed the Apple OEM battery that came with the laptop and installed the new one. I allowed the laptop to charge to full battery before turning it on. Upon start up I detached the power pack and the laptop was running perfectly without the need of the power pack.

Mijn advies

When removing the battery be very careful. Do not force the battery out if it is not coming out by pulling. It could be that you have not removed all of the screws. Also be very gentle when detaching the main wires that connect the battery to the mother board. Ensure you have the proper tools that are required for an Apple product. You could very well cause more damage to the unit if you do not. IFIXIT really helped me out in terms of saving me from having to pay Apple for labour and repair which would have costed double the amount of what I spent. I'm very happy with their service.
