Mijn probleem

The battery in my iPhone4 was 2.5 years old, and was requiring too much time on the charger. I purchased the replacement battery kit which includes the necessary tools.

Mijn oplossing

The battery replacement went according to the ifixit guide. A few comments are provided:

1. Removing the old battery was the hardest part. The adhesive keeping the old battery in place was very sticky. I ended up prying the battery out with the plastic pry bar that came in the tool kit.

2. The power cable on the new battery needs to have the appropriate bends put in place before the new battery can be inserted into the phone. Just look at the battery that was removed and reproduce the bends in the cable on the new battery.

3. The small screw securing the battery cable connector to the board was a challenge. Patience and a steady hand are the key to replacing this screw.

The power cable on the new battery needs to have the appropriate bends put in place before the new battery can be inserted into the phone. Just look at the battery that was removed and reproduce the bends in the cable on the new battery.
