Mijn probleem

I've had my iPhone 5 for about 1.5 years now (since launch date) and the battery started to suck. Not only would it drain considerably faster than when it was new-ish but it would jump percentages, offer from 20% to 3% or even just shut off. I would be lucky to get 10 hours of standby and 3-4 hours of usage, even while connected to wifi most of the day.

Mijn oplossing

Pretty easy, just follow the directions to a T! Except like most people I didn't take the entire screen off, just held it at 90 degrees. The screen did violently pop off after I removed the two screws and pried as indicated but nothing was damaged. The battery was pretty tough to get out, it's really glued in there so just be patient! When I powered up my iPhone it didn't have cell service, do not worry power it down then back on and it should find service.

Mijn advies

Battery life is much better, I'd say at least 25% better or more. I can go a full day with heavy usage and still have life left at 10pm. No more random drops in percentages either, it's good knowing that my phone will last all the way down to 1% again if it ever gets there. $30 well spent! Hopefully the battery lasts until the new iPhone launch in September!
