Runs like the day I first got it, after the ylod fix

Mijn probleem

About two weeks ago it was a boring day so I wanted to play my PS3 about 5 minutes after turning it on it immediately shut down gave the ylod and the 3 beeps. I thought maybe I'll give it another try but the same thing happened only this time it only took seconds. I did some research and came upon the fix kit.

Mijn oplossing

It took two attempts but it worked. For the first attempt the repair time was about 7 hours mostly took the time for cleaning out the massive dust buildup inside the system and following the guide step by step to get it right. After piecing it back together my system booted up and I was overjoyed to see it back in action. Unfortunately this was short lived as it got the ylod again. I remained calm thought it through and came to the conclusion that maybe I needed to give it more time with the reflow of the solder. I did the second attempt used the heat gun set to low on the directed chip set for about a minute for each in a circular motion. After piecing it together this time and turning it on start up was normal and everything was in order I let my PS3 run for a while just to monitor it, the fan ran smoothly for a while and did pickup speed but it didn't sound like it was landing an airplane so it's to be expected.

Follow the guide, when it comes to reflowing the solder on the chips give it additional time about 45 seconds to a minute on each.
