Mijn probleem
I left my phone in my pants pocket & threw in clothes washer. After realizing my mistake, after appoximately five minutes, I rescued it but it was already dead. After drying it in a bag of rice for about a month I started reading about probability of rejuvenating it. Understanding that the battery may have shorted out I ordered the replacement battery.........
Mijn oplossing
With the necessary tools provided by iFixit I carefully disassembled the phone to find there was minimal rust/corosion. Watching the video, I replaced the battery and carefully reattached the front display and it turned on! For $29 I was abled to repair the phone and have been using it since. I am now the biggest fan of iFixit, with your reasonable pricing, super fast shipping and exceptional instructional videos! Thank you!!!
Mijn advies
1. Dis-assembly immediately after getting it wet would have made a world of difference in drying it quickly before corrosion could start. Order the tools!
2. Watch as many videos and read other stories before you start on it to learn tips & possible problems
3. Magnetize the screwdriver to help hold the small screws, especially during reassembly.
4. Work slowly and delicately!
