Mijn probleem
The standard: I dropped my iPhone 5 on a corner and cracked the screen.
Mijn oplossing
Surprisingly smoothly, following the instructions and referencing the video: getting the broken screen out required some packing tape for the suction cup to grip, but otherwise the screen came out without trouble.
The front-facing camera assembly had a small plastic guide to keep the camera centered which didn't seem mentioned in the instruction guides, and didn't come with the new screen. It was easily transferred from the old screen assembly to the new one, however.
I discovered the case was bent at the corner where it had impacted, and it took some small pliers to pull it back out: after that I touched it up with a dremel to smooth the corner out a bit, and got the new screen installed without incident. This had the unfortunately side effect of removing the black anodizing from the aluminum in that corner, but it's a cosmetic thing that I can cover up with a case or a skin, if I decide I can't stand it.
Mijn advies
Don't drop those screws: they are remarkably hard to find. Along the same lines, hemostats are awesome.
