A1150 MacBook Pro 15" Core Duo Hard Drive Replacement

Mijn probleem

The original hard drive came with manufactured system was stopped responding. I thought Hard Drive was gone. I read through related guides on ifixit.com and found very easy way to replace the hard drive. And I purchased 750 GB 7200 RPM Seagate SATA Hard Drive Upgrade Kit (New).

Mijn oplossing

The repair was done very smoothly. It took me around 30/40 mins to replace the drive. I tried to clone the data from the old drive to new one but old one is not responding as I originally expected. I happened to backup most of my data before once but I had to loose some data from my old drive. Since the old drive is not responding, I can not do anything it seems.

Mijn advies

As long as you know what is the problem on your item, it will be easy to follow the guides here in ifixit.com. I have never done this before. I really like their model. They are providing tools and parts for reasonable price. And best part is free guides and videos. So I would say it is really customer friendly. Even if you are not sure and if you go through the available guides and videos, you will not miss to identify what is happening to your system. Of course I can not speak for all the hardware issues around the world. So good luck.
